Lifting the fronts?

Postby Sean » Thu Jul 27, 2006 12:25 am

Just got these pictures....

Felt a bit flighty, but is it really lifting the fronts?

Convince me either way...

Great photos, but i'm sayin' \"no\", the wheels don't look like they're holding much weight, but I don't think they've lifted.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Forgot to say - All photos are from different launches, so it may be yes in one and not others, yes in all or no in all....

Bottom photo shows height at rest.

I'll say no - if its not an illusion then you've got a lot of air in a couple of the pics - you would have noticed that when it came back to earth! But hey, like any good illusion you can read it either way  So what was the ET and speed? did you hose the other guys?? Gotta love a sleeper!

MPHs were in the mid one hundred and teens, but best ET was 13.1 which is slower than it ran with only 107 MPH.

60 footers were terrible. It would feel loose so backed off til it came down, I never throught it actually lost contact til i saw the pictures... Now I'm kinda thinking it may have got off the ground

Amazing the difference rear tyre pressures made - at 25psi it would just spin, dropped them to 19 and gripped like crazy! 8)

Need to do up the helmet strap tighter too, kept falling down on launch

I'd say no going by the ET and trap speed. Mid teens should equate to about 11.9 ET with a good launch. You said 60 ft was terrible which means not launching hard. Still impressive though making about 260hp at the wheels. 8)

PM, or various posts where I talk it up

I'm working on a site, but it's nothing too out of the ordinary.

I'm staring to thing they aren't off teh ground, NFS is quite high but not in teh air - and even though it's lower in teh back, I think if it's not up mine isnt :(

Sean, what tyres are you using? I run my tyres at 13psi (MT Street radials) That is the tyre pressure you need to be at..... Let the sidewalls grip and push you down the track...
