All Garage Traffic Here!

This is the only place I will look for traffic concerning the Garage from now.

Keep in mind that it is beta software and not too well supported, so we are on our own to a large degree.

The blog appears to not work yet!

Same with the Guestbook!

Most of the Garage works though, we may have do a few things to get it to work the way we like.

You should be able to submit them from your C: drive and upload them directly to the BBS as long as they are 1024 x 768 or smaller.

are you able to change the purchase price from EUR to AUD?
or have a selection of a few? (as some of us buy from o/s)

eg. pounds, USD, AUD ect?

oh and possibly a selection for if the product was purchased new or 2nd hand?

you cant upload website photos.
if you leave the personal computer photos upload section blank and add in a website,
the following problem occurs.

There should only be AU$ and USD, where is the Europe coming from now?

Second Hand, you should be able to pick unknown or make a new source if one does not exist for it and call it Second Hand.

This is the ONLY way you can put pictures in, it will not do anything with a website address. Remember, it is beta software :)

Could all users who have the euro prices in their vehicle, go to edit their vehicle and select AU$ from the drop down box that appears where it asks for currency type. This should appear on the front page for your car... There should only be AU$ and USD, wonder where the EUR is coming from!

Weird image posting error. The images that I uploaded against laptimes from my computer are OK when I view them from My Vehicles but they are someone else's images when I view them from the Browse Garage tab.

Appears to apply to the second and later images loaded against a single laptime. The first image loaded is OK.

I think the browse function is showing all of the vehicles that have lap time at the venue :) and that is probably okay!

And, it will display them if they are selected. It does'nt look like a bug, what is anoying is the way that an image takes over the screen when it is selected... I will fix it soon :) with a little mod

Hey Bob, nice of you to delete my posts in the other thread and direct me here :D

I've come up against the image limit, presuming this is because we can only upload images rather than provide external image links. Will externally linking images become available? Have been tossing up starting my own 'car blog' anyway but would be nice to utilise an already establised one.

I'm on a few forums that utilise the similar/same garage facility to this one. If it would help, i can provide admin contacts for those forums.

Well the posts were to do with images and I am getting a bit sick of repeating myself, It is beta software and the support is virtually non-existant so we are on our own.

Because it is beta we will not get support for it anyway! I have been talking to a few admins and they have only _partially_ got the blog and guestbook working and it is certainly not good enough for me to use that part of it yet. We will keep working until it is :)

I am doing a bit to improve things but it all takes _time_, the Garage has only been up for 5 days and it is getting a fair bit of use already.

You can drop some names via pm if you like, it is not as high on the priorities list though.

No probs, i understand how long things can take, i have volunteered my time for for other car clubs (including starting one) and i fully appreciate the time required. And how most people don't know just what is involved in keeping things running smoothly.

I'll ask around and see if i can't get some technical assistance for you.

*dips hat* carry on!
