Brisbane Engine Builders

Postby maxgus » Tue Jun 14, 2016 4:09 pm

Hey Guys,

The engine builder that I was going to use is way too busy and doesn't have the time to build my engine for me. I'm looking for a reputable engine builder that I can trust and isn't going to charge disgusting amounts for what I need. I live in Brisbane northside. Can anyone recommend a good honest builder that isn't Automotive Plus?

Thanks

Gary Stewart.

What do you want done? Serious build? Boosted?

My car is supercharged. The original engine is getting a little tired. I'm looking at reconditioning and strengthening a donor motor to handle a bit more boost. I want to use forged rods and pistons, arp studs and acl bearings. Obviously replace all the seals, machining and clean the head up. I'm not trying to make a street weapon but a strong and reliable engine that i can run hard at times and not have any issues.

You could ask NitroDann and crate the engine up/down.

Hi All,

bumping this thread rather than opening a new one:

Automotive Plus - I don't believe they are taking on engine builds
Gary Stewart - Is he retired?
Mx5Mania - would like to use, but distance is an issue
JHH - appear to be very capable, but have not heard of them building BP's

Are there any recommendations for locals that regularly build performance BP engines?

Chilton in the gabba have done a few BPs, I think that's where plus used to send them.
If you have more details of what you want shoot me a message - fb messenger probably best.

I would hate to think how much jhh would want for a build.
Cheers,
plohl
