Mazda to officially restore MX5s

Postby manga_blue » Mon Nov 20, 2017 8:40 am

I can't remember anyone posting this, which is sorta surpising.

Basically from 2018 Mazda will begin officially restoring early MX5s for customers in Japan.

What it means to us is that there may be a really, really small trickle of effectively new RHD NAs coming onto the Japanese market, which would then be open to being bought and brought here as special imports.

New NA or new ND. Interesting choice.

Go Mazda! things like this and events thrown recently for the 1 million celebrations along with offers for the ND limited edition ect shows alot about the company.
New NA for me would be tempting, thanks for the post mate.
I know people on here will generally have a love for the model they drive and every MX-5 (except NC... joking lol) is brilliant but I cant see mazda ever offering to restore NB's, NC's or ND's.... because NA is clearly the best :D , sorry couldn't help myself :P

P.S before someone takes the above comment too seriously know its all in good fun, the MX models are like football teams and we don't all follow the same side  .

It was mentioned about a year ago. I think the price was quite high.
I think there would be very few takers, less likely any coming to Australia.

What a great idea. NA is still the prettiest and the purest of the lot. Restore always means $$$ however.
