Get well soon Lou!

Postby Okibi » Sat Jun 30, 2018 2:12 am

Lou aka Boyracer is stuck wearing two moon boots and recovering at home.

I'll leave it to him to explain why.

On behalf of the forum I wish you a speedy recovery mate.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Thanks guys, one week on and I’m getting better slowly, have some broken bones that are goin to take a while to heal...have had some great support from the MX5 community which has certainly made things easier, here is a photo of the car...I have not looked at it yet but I’m told it looks worse in person.

I hope you recover quickly and get back in the car again (it may or may not be the same one) soon!

I keep looking at that pic and think that is a massive hit. Amplified by the fact that your car was LHD (the RHS looks intact).

Bugger! Did you take one of those left corners too aggresively?

I hope you get well soon. Moonboots would get tedious very quickly.

The first ever hillclimb in Central Queensland was run today on the Mount Morgan Range road.
I thought about how enjoyable it would be to compete but to be involved in motorsport you have to be OK with the possibility of writing your car off - so I decided it was for the other kids. (the ones with plenty of disposable income)
Your car was the "after" photo that was in my mind.
Get well soon. Cheers, Rocky.
