The NB boot fits a couple over overnight bags, perfect for a romantic few weeks away, Victoria is a nice place to visit in the NB. Take a run through the high country, through central Victoria, over to the Grampians, back to Melbourne along the Great Ocean Road, check out Geelong and Queenscliife , stay a while in Melbourne, take the coast road up through Eden and Jervis Bay, hop over to Bowral, dodge around Sydney, head up the Putty Road, over to Newcastle, up Thunderbolts way, down the Oxley highway, check out some of the world's best beaches and cruise home to good old sunny QLD. 3 to 4 weeks. Good times! NB's are great for this. Ask me how I know.

^ what he said Having used our SE for several interstate holidays, we've always managed fine - a large suitcase, soft bags, small esky, picnic bag plus other miscellaneous stuff - packs in quite a bit actually ...

Same here. I have made several trips of multiple week duration with the SO, Tasmania twice, northern NSW, Queensland to name a few. What to take has never been an issue, the NB boot is ample for two, and overflow goes behind the seats on the shelf (top up), or around the passengers legs.

The only issue has been the bulky souvenirs, but most vendors will pack and post, which has proved a quick and easy, and relatively cheap, solution.

I’m a B. I’d have preferred my RF to be a proper fixed coupe...preferably with a lift back and some decent load space!

Want load space? Buy a CX3

Why the f#ck would I do that? It was nice having somewhere to put stuff with my BRZ though...and if the MX5 did a proper coupe there would be a place to put stuff. There’s barely enough room to put the weekly shop in an RF. Biggest bag that’ll fit would be an airline carry on (just).

If your biggest worry is load space....then buy a car with load space... simple

If your priority is a drivers car....then....suck it up Princess

You can have both if you buy an 86/BRZ.

I couldn't care less either. I don't really like roadsters which is why have an RF and drive it top up 95% of the time. If it'd been a proper coupe I'd have liked it even more because it would probably have been lighter, stiffer and actually have had semi-practical packaging too. Having said that, I much prefer my RF to my (previous car) BRZ. It's more fun and it's a sweeter car.

It's a Mazda 323 with the engine turned sideways, and leftover RX7 and 929 bits to connect it to the wheels.

It's a budget car, always has been from the start.
Mazda never set out to make the BEST driver's car, they set out to make the best VALUE drivers car.

If they wanted the best handling car it would have had a roof, and the rigidity that comes with it.

Children, I think it's time to drop it and move on.

Every car has pros and cons and they're relative to the individual. The answer is drive what ever you feel like and enjoy!
