I don't understand the trend for dull colours on sports cars. If any vehicle justifies a nice bright or unusual colour it's a sports car.
I liked the 'Splash Green' of the NB8B model because it was 'out there'.

Yellow and Orange are great sports car colours. Maybe even lime green (if it's a Lambo) Remember that fantastic light metallic green that Jaguar had?
I liked the subtle light spearmint green of the NB8C, particularly with the navy hood. Here's a pic.

If it has to be silver-grey, then the NB8C also had the best 'Titanium' I have seen.
"Subdued' and 'conservative' are for family sedans.

Regarding a brighter colour palette, no argument from me. Sports cars SHOULD stand out. Bring back Holdens colours from the 70s - Purr Pull, Lime Mint, Strike Me Pink, Yellow Dolly... or even The Lone O’Ranger which, to my eyes, bears a reasonable similarity to Racing Orange.

Rocky, the NB8C that you featured is actually 'Cireon Silver'.
When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?

That's right, it was too. A really nice colour on an MX5, particularly the hood contrast.

Well I am officially in love with the 30th Anniversary model. By the time I save up the money the 70th anniversary will be out :(

These photos are available on the Victorian and Tasmanian Club Website and were taken at the 30th Anniversary event at Lardner Park on 6 October by various club members.

MX5 taxis just aren't a viable business, you can only take one passenger with minimal luggage and that excludes big/fat chicks (and guys)!

Ah I see. The high price includes the taxi licence.
