Canberra MX-5 Experts?

Postby Red_Bullet » Sat Dec 19, 2020 8:40 am

Hello Canberra people, who do you recommend for fixing MX-5s in Canberra. I just sold a car to somebody in Canberra and the car has thrown a P0420 code.

ACDC (https://www.acdc.net.au) in Mitchell are affiliated with the MX-5 club of NSW - Canberra Chapter, and would probably be most Canberran's recommendation for MX-5 work.

... and is sorely missed.

The other suggestion I would make is Autotech out at Hume, Ed and the crew have worked on MX5s including my SE's Autronic instal and tune - highly recommended .

Probably best that you should stick to sorting your stamp collection Bruce.

Thanks, I'll pass these suggestions on. Damn car has never thrown a CEL code before, not in 18 years, the moment you sell it......

Maybe it wants to come back to pappa bear. But it can't there is an NC-2 parked in it's old garage space. 8)

Went to Autotech when Peter was running it & they were in Fyshwick - Peter & the team were very good & I believe one of Peter's team took over with the move to Mitchell.

?? AAIRI, Autotech moved from Fyshwick to Hume, never at Mitchell. Happy to be corrected but I was out there at Hume a couple of weeks ago.

You aren't confusing them with ACDC are you?

Nah, meant Hume, but had Mitchell in mind after reading the ACDC post.

wash your mouth out Bruce- fancy thinking Mazda know how to fix MX-5s..... One thing to consider is how far to travel to get it fixed.

Last time I took my NB8B to a Mazda Dealer was about 2004. They said "Clutch Judder? Nah, can't feel it. Never heard of it. You might be imagining it."
