16 Dec 2021: 2022 MX-5 update revealed & confirmed for Australia:
-Due in Mazda Australia showrooms early in the first quarter of 2022 (indicating a January or February launch), the updated MX-5 adds revised suspension technology, and a selection of new colour and trim options – but gone is the slow-selling, entry-level 1.5-litre engine.

-Headlining the 2022 update is new Kinematic Posture Control (KPC) suspension technology, which Mazda claims "uses the MX-5’s suspension structure to provide a more integrated and stable turning posture at high speed", and provide a "greater sense of Jinba-ittai," the company says.

-slow sales have called time on the entry-level 97kW/152Nm 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol four-cylinder – with all models now powered by the more potent 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated four-pot, producing 135kW and 205Nm after an update in 2018.

"Kinematic Posture Control" ... I'm imagining a bunch of engineers in a pub making up names (and this was the best they could do?) ...

I imagine the Engineers were working 11 hour days when they come up with the name, as knowing how the system works, it is an almost text book explanation of what it does, without mentioning the use if brake pressure to achieve the kinematic control (of the roll angle). I guess a more text book term might be:
Brake pressure activated kinematic roll angle control.

My go:
Brake activated inner wheel squat roll minimiser (BAIWSRM).

Engineers wouldn't go anywhere near that, that would have the marketing people.

I have a Sep 2022 build MX 5 base (Roadster) and I don't care what they call it ,it is brilliant. Handling is amazing and the ride compromise is great, soft but responsive..Always modified my previous MX5's suspensions but will not be doing this one .
Peter.

Peter, I can remember when you posted on this very forum that you were going to have sell your MX-5 based on advice from your financial planner.

Considering that you have since had an NC and now an ND, I am wondering if you changed planner's, or just decided to throw caution to the wind.

Either way, I say well done.

Yes , Ignored that advice(and stopped paying him a big fee!!) and have put off my knee replacement about 5 times!! Planning to have it done this winter so I don't miss too much MX time!
When I sold my last NC2 for great money went without an MX for about 6 weeks before I had to get another one. Looked at SH ND's and then dropped my daughter off to pick up her 3 at the dealers and they had the white roadster there as a cancelled order. Drove it home 3 days later as they were prepared to do a deal on the recommended price. Absolutely love it Jeff !
ps.And I have my usual wheel style on it!!
