Some of the best personalised plates I have seen (all NSW). Well, good enough that I remember them...

'EARNER' black on yellow plate with a learner's L plate to the left, on a driver training company car.
'L', black on yellow plate on a red Lamborghini Countach that lived on The Hill in Newcastle. Apparently owned by a man with the surname Lucky!
'ALL469' on a black Capri Clubsport, lowered with gold Simmons, very clean. Driver looked like a body builder.

Hi. The better plates which have been issued but I have never seen them used are:
Our1, Our12, and there are more its so long ago I have forgotten them. I guess you have heard of the plate which was issued if NSW and the owner was asked to return it . It was 6uldv8

Personal plates are obviously a personal choice as to what appeals. If they weren't so exorbitant I would consider them. There are some clever ones, or ones that speak to the owner, but the ones that annoy me are the ones that tell you what car it is. "BMW M3" and the like, for example. I know what the car is because I know cars, I don't need to be told. Anyone who doesn't know what an M3 is doesn't care that it's an M3!

So I can't interest you in a set of these plates for cheap?
Image
- they're my previous plates that I still own
I wanted to replace them since there's almost nothing on Gina specific to the MSM/SE left, even the rods and pistons have been replaced.
The only specific-MSM/SE bits left are cosmetic, the red rocker cover, 2x large silver instrument cluster dial faces, darker head/tail lights, front/rear bumpers and rear spoiler (the rear bumper will be replaced by a standard one with a "bumper cut" one day - I'd prefer not to cut up the MSM/SE one since they're hard to find).

I had an interesting experience with the MX5 related QLD personal plates on my ND recently.

I received a speed camera fine from Victoria where I haven’t dríven for 4 or 5 years and never in the ND, $435 + 3 demerit point. When I pull up the photo, same rego but different colour ND with NSW plates. WTF!

Victoria Police wouldn’t accept that it was a different car, despite the evidence I provided… see you in court. Eventually managed to go through the Department of Justice to get the infringement withdrawn without going to court, but what a major waste of time and effort.

With regular plates the chance of copping the same rego on the same make and model would have to be next to zero.

Interesting. Maybe VicPol legislation does not have a specific section for that circumstance, thus court is the only option?
