2007 NC w/SC and more

Postby bsalis » Tue Aug 11, 2015 10:36 pm

Some dyno charts of my MX5 if anyone is interested. This is my 2007 NC PRHT.

First up a stock NC against my NC after a Flyin' Miata Supercharger was installed with tune. So stock peaks at about 98rwkw with my car hitting about 140rwkw. Which is about expected for an MP62 over a 2L MZR.

Next is my NC w/SC against my NC with the addition of a Roadstersport header, mid, and a Super-Q exhaust, as well an AEM CAI and another tune. Hitting about 160rwkw now :D

Yet more powhaa mods are being planned!

Nice, my 2006 NC , base dyno 92 kw atw.

Mx5 plus rear exhaust and extractors, AEM cold intake 162.68 kw atw with cosworth supercharger, around 7.5-8 psi

Have had two further flas tunes which seat of the pants car feels quicker, but no dyno to confirm.

Love the launch control.

Looks like your your getting pretty much the same performance boost from the same mods. That 98rwkw was from some other persons NC, so mine could have possibly done about 92 when stock. Though different dynos give different results, so you shouldn't read to much into the absolute values anyhow.

So you have launch control I see! Looking to get RaceROM installed myself next round of upgrades to get that and more.

Interesting to turn off DSC dynami steering control and launch , then compare to launch control with DSC on. Lets just say there is one hedk of a difference.

Have auto blip farure and flat foot shifting but don,t really use rhem much.

I'm struggling with the figures shown for the torque.

The standard NC is now where near 330 - 340Nm torque shown on the graph.
Stock it is around 175 to 180Nm and 92 rwkW, so I think the operator must have had some settings wrong on the dyno.

When I had the 2.0 ltr. in the car it recorded 195Nm on a hub dyno and 113rwkW with AEM intake and GWR headers and a tune.
Now with the 2.5 ltr., it’s gone to 127rwkW and 245Nm. With the headers and a tune. I’ve dumped to AEM CAI as they have a habit of slurping water and provide very little, if any, increase in power.

Similar to my torque figures. Nitro Dan reckons uncalibrated figure. Calibrated Dan reckons 267 NM.

As for AEM intake have to disagree. On dyno my car picked up 5 kw similar to reported gains for mx5 on youtube.
