Stans Dodgy Day Sat 14th

Postby StanTheMan » Sun Apr 01, 2007 8:49 pm

Time for a dodgy day

I'll be doing my suspension bushes.

I'll have Snags & a slab of beer, soft drinks & a veranda with a little view.

There is a fair amount of room inside the Great wall of China. Only problem is. Most of it is on lawn & there is no cover. I don't have a fantastic worshop with tools like Biggus Doghus. You will need to bring your own.

Even if you don't want to work on cars.....you're welcome to come & watch me butcher my suspension. if you have any expert knowlege on changing suspension bushes .....even better. I can arrange a seat right on the front line, where you can instruct me, with a beer in your hand.

anyone interested i'll PM you my details.

there is room for 2 cars on the concrete slab. Patchy will be ocupying 1 slot.....probably for most of the weekend.

The familie will most likely be out all day. So No kids will get in our way.

Hi Stan,

Sounds good. I have one of those shade cloth wall less tents (it roof on poles) that I could bring with me if you want

Hey Stan,

I profess to having no suspension expertise whatsoever. But since you are working on suspension, it may be a good time for me to find some experts to help me raise the perch settings on mine.

Other than that, I am a handy beer passer and should be able to get there.

Man you sure have timing :P
I have my son that weekend, so i will have a 4 YO apprentice with me.
That means that, tools i can bring, but child minding and my propane torch will be a challenge :frown:

But suspension is a cinch, the apprentice can make noises from the driver's seat
Huh?

For sure. maybe i can set up Patchy on the lawn. its pretty level & solid.
so once we've sorted Matt. you can swap spots. Once the 2nd spot is taken on the slab no one has room to get in & out..... its probably good for someone with a few lttle things to fix. 7 easy to move a car when we have to so peeps can get in & out.
If you have any stands. Bring them along.

Ampz.....your little aprentice is more than welcome. I have heaps of kids videos & DVD's even a play station.

yea bummer about the timing......I had to swing it when the Co-Driver wasn't palying soccer. that was the only day possible for me.

Ya, well my house is being reno'd at the moment so I haven't got any room to do it at my place. But I have jacks, stands, tools, etc. So I am happy to provide any help or assistance to the other fellas when I'm not spannering.

Yes. Mania will be using one of these plus a couple of jigs to remove the bushes when they do mine in a couple of weeks

Ok, the custom parts I ordered for the Luce coilovers won't be ready today :( So I'll just be using the time to re-jig the ride height on the MX5 and bleed the brakes, which is a much smaller job.

If anyone wants me to lend a hand with something or show them how to do something, just ask.
