Tapping into the parkers.

Postby HazeBelefonte » Tue Aug 16, 2016 2:33 pm

Hey guys I know there are similar problems on the page but mine's a little unique.

So recently I purchaed a pair of 7" round reflective lamps with a mad led halo for my NA. *Insert cute Cosby Daww face**

No guesses where I got it from but none the less.
Before I went and got some HID's to chuck in them, I wired up the black +/- cable coming out the back of the housing straight into the H4 socket to test it out.

The result was cool, although only enough light to compliment the parkers. The halo's paired with the parkers together look awesome so I want to wire up the led halo's to always come on when the parkers are on.
I tried tapping straight into the wire to the parkers at the very end after all breaks and switches with the end result of
[Left | LED-Working/Parker-Not]
[Right | LED-Not/Parker-Working]
So I removed the negative connections to the parkers and made new cable to earth it to the body of the car. (I did solder all connections)
And now I have both parkers back.

What's the best way to have all 4 devices running on the Parkers setting?

Why is that? The housing clearly states it was made for it hence the "HID Ready" right in the middle of it and it was made in Victoria. :(

Yes you can run HID's in that housing, i doubt it very much if it will be an improvement over a good quality set of Halogen globes in there.

Looking at that reflector you will have light shooting everywhere, each to their own but you'll be getting a lot of flashes from oncoming traffic.

Oh and its illegal
