It is noticeably heavier than the drivers 1/4 panel. But it's glued on with some pretty good glue. The panel will distort trying to remove it I think.

I have started working on this car again. It is being built as a 2B race car using the SE manifold and turbo. First job was to remove both manifolds. Then take the SE turbo off its manifold so I can port the wastegate and hopefully cure the boost creep when running the 3" exhaust. I should have the porting done this morning.

I ported the entry to the wastegate, unshrouded the exit as well. And since I had the tool, i cleaned up the manifold too.

I figured I should check the port match from the head to intake since I am changing intakes. Lucky I did, the manifold is almost 15mm too low. I think this is a GTR head, not an MX5 head. Would explain it. So now the inlet has to have bits welded to it, and all the holes redrilled. I picked up the 1000cc injectors. I assembled the 3.6 Torsen diff, replaced the bushes with nolathane and fitted the lot into the car. PPF is on, tailshaft is on, the whole exhaust is on. The worst part is trying to find the nuts, bolts and bits that I removed 6 years ago.

The mx5 bp heads changed with the introduction of the NBA to the high port head. Everything pre nba, regardless of it being 323 or mx5 had the low port head but there late 323s never got the high port.

Automotive plus make an adapter plate to match the na8 inlet to a nb head but you've already made the mods.

I do remember that about the heads now.

I am trying to finish cleaning the garage, and I have told myself that instead of moving parts around that go on this car. I may as well install them. It's not really working on the car, it's putting parts away properly. But like the diff, it can't just be installed without doing some prep. I bolted the door inner halves on properly. But had to remove some metal from the hinges. They are not that heavy, but when you hold the (sub 2.0kg) door, it's front heavy with the hinges on.
