also, finish on rocker cover looks great. What prep did you do to it to get it clean and smooth?

Lip is just eBay plastic crap. It wouldn't make a noticeable difference to lap times. But, it will make a nice looking airdam between the bumper and the (yet to be installed) splitter.
Paint prep is very lame. I sprayed it with degreaser, washed it off with water, dried it with the heat gun, then painted it. Total time spent would be under 30 minutes.

Quick release steering wheel is in, coilovers are in, track wheels are on, and the guards have been rolled. Next few jobs are a bit more involved, like the clutch/flywheel, extractors, diff, timing belt, etc.
But it looks so much different already.

Hey lightyear, what did you use to mount the seats that low?

Bolts :)
It's a Velo GTP1 seat with side mounts mounted without runners. A floor mount seat can be mounted even lower.

With Easter and not being home, it makes it hard to work on the car. I managed to remove the softtop today. And I might spend a few hours on it tomorrow to remove the gearbox so I can do the rear main seal and install the clutch and flywheel. Would like to have the front of the motor done as well. Next is engine mounts and bolt the headers on.

Time for an update...
I have replaced all the service items in the car- engine mounts, clutch, flywheel, timing belt, water pump, all the seals, etc, etc. Diif has been swapped for a Torsen. Extractors are on, but need to make an exhaust. I decided to get a full cage as its not going to cost much more than a quality rollbar. So the dash and interior had to come out. A/C and P/S are staying as its a car I want to drive on the road.
I will logbook the car so I can enter the Phillip Island 300.

McQueen Motorsport. He is in Melton, and the price is crazy cheap. I had no intention of getting a full cage, but for the price I couldn't refuse. And now that it will have a full cage, I may as well log book it so I can do endurance races. Will be getting dropped off on Monday. I made a carbon fibre roof for it so the cage guy has something to work to.

I will load the car on the trailer this morning, and take it down to McQueen Motorsport for its cage later.
I had some time to work on the car, so I installed the radiator and had a crack at the intake. After much thought on how I make a new intake. I figured I should just cut the original long intake up, just using the 90 degree bend and flip it to face the other way. So cut the section off, but it wouldn't slip over the AFM. Tried boiling water, then stuck it in the oven for 10-15 minutes. Slipped straight on. Cost me nothing, so very happy.

I will continue on the fastbacks when I finish the reno's on the other house. Not much to do now, maybe 2 weeks. I am also getting back into finalising the wing manufacture as well. So if anyone wants a real wing, start saving some money. As they might be ready to start production in a month or so. This car is at the rollcage place now for the next few weeks. So I won't be tempted/able to work on it. So when I am back in Melbourne, I can concentrate on making the wings and fastbacks.

I started to spend some time on this car again, not a lot, half an hour here and there. But enough to get the car done, eventually.
I pulled out the A/C and P/S, reconnected the loom, but it wouldn't start. Brendan came around to have a look, and it turned out the rear loom wasn't connected, so no power to the fuel pump. The cage will be done by my mechanic (Lux Racing) in the next few weeks. It doesn't need much after that, brake pads/fluid and bleed. Wheel align and corner weight, throw a roof on it, and it should be ready to take out.
The engine bay looks a bit more roomy.

Slow updates, the car now has an exhaust, sounds a bit like a Honda. it still needs a few things, but it's getting there.
