I was wearing clothes I don't care about. The seat will fit if I do loose or gain weight. As all the weight will be out front lol.
Working on the WRX tonight, but hope to get a bit more done if there is time.

Its early next year... Any news....

I walk past the car everyday and try to work out when I can work on it. There is so much for me to do around here, it's daunting. I plan on getting a few more things done on the house. Then I have to make some carbon fibre bits so I have some money to spend on it. I also plan on getting the hoist wired up so I can use it. But I will start tinkering on it soon. It's pretty much all there except the fastback. But I will make another one.
Need to clean the garage too.

I do look forward to having a quick car for a change. Chase some Porsche GT3's..

Must be auto spelling...

My fastback will have naca ducts instead of side windows, and c.f rear window with possibly more naca ducts.
I suppose yours will be a boring normal fastback with heavy plastic windows.

Still working on the final moulds for the fastback. But Brendan can spend hours making the internal frames for the side windows and door window rubbers. You are welcome to buy a shell. But it is a fair amount of work to have it properly usable.
FYI, I used the fastback shell on my red car the last time I drove it. I just taped make shift windows in. And taped the fastback on. It worked fine. But wouldn't be good on a road car.

I might sell this car. I will probably never finish it. If anyone wants a bare shell with full Meridian cage, or with any of the gear that's in it let me know.
Haven't worked out any prices. Just seeking expressions of interest. There may come a time when I can finish it. But I don't really need it.
Quarter panels can be welded back on. And there is nothing cut on the front end. So oem guards and bonnet, etc, will bolt right on. Or if you want the carbon fibre body, I can work out a deal.
I am happy enough to keep driving my "SE" track car. It could be a quick car with a few minor upgrades.
I would like to keep the motor. But will consider selling it with the car.

The Time Attack delusion is just that.

No matter what you build, you are always going to be about $1 Mealion dollars
underspent against the horsepower hero crowd.

the top flight time attack cars do 20 - 50 laps per huge dollar engine,
and spend up beyond $10,000 a DAY on tyres.

And they don't like to bring it up but go no quicker than a sub $50,000 Formula 3 car
which is normally aspirated 2 Litre with an air box choking them.

Spend the time and money on a car you can and will use.

Yes, time attack has risen in cost considerably. When I started to built this, it would have been competitive.
If I can find some quarter panels, I might put this car together with oem panels all round and finish it. Just use it as a race car.
Will still be bloody quick. My "SE" can do some pretty quick times, and it's using mostly stock parts. So with a built motor, proper turbo, and lighter weight, it should go well.

So for the first time in ages something has happened with this car. A frien had a damaged NB, I went down and cut the rear 1/4 panels off. Pulled the carbon fibre panels off the car, bolted the doors on so I could line up the new rear 1/4 panels. A bit if trimming and welding, and it all lines up. This car will still be very light. Just not crazy light as it was intended.
