Ok- so the idea of the oversized EFR is now scrapped in light of not wanting a lag monster. So the setup will be as follows;
Turbo: G25-660
Exhaust manifold: Pure Fab high mount
Intake manifold: the famous flat top with some new piping as required.
The new clutch is on order and there is some more research happening at the moment into a suspension upgrade as well (more details on that to follow, but any suggestions and options are welcome at the moment).
The parts not being in stock are the biggest hassle at the moment, so it seems that this may see me running this round of upgrading into early next year. :DIY:

I'm keen to see how the G series Garrett's perform! Should be interesting.

As for your suspension, what's wrong with what you have, what are you trying to achieve with the new stuff? I love my Xida's but they might not be appropriate, spring rates on most applications are going to be subjective to what you want as well.

People have been liking Shockworks at the moment, they're Australian and are coming up as a local competitor to MCA. But I dislike almost any length adjustable shock body, it means you're loosing travel and travel is important! IMO either Flyin Miata Fox, or Supermiata Xida's are the best for MX-5s, but you pay for it!

The more we looked into the G series the better it looks. The Tein’s are getting a bit tired, I know they can get rebuilt but I have read up some good reviews of the FM Fox, bit more research to be done.

So finally some go forward- the exhaust manifold is being fabricated by Pure Fab, the flat top is on it’s way to Engineer Ben and the G25-660 is getting assembled with ceramic coating. Still looking into the the clutch and I really REALLY have to get Maniac Lachy paid for his stainless exhaust :roll:. Much more to come…..(I will have a GT 2871R up for sale soon!!!)

So the manifold will be a welded tubular style? Why is the flattop going to the engineer?

Also, I should be down at Burleigh at the end of the month, that last weekend. Not sure if Friday or Saturday yet, but that might be a chance to meet for a coffee.

Just to see if Benny can find some tweaks that will improve flow- worth investigating when you have someone like him to go over it. And yep, welded tubular.

I’ll be on rest days then, so a catch up is definitely on the cards mate.
