Tweety has decided to roll out a Northern Cruise
The following details are listed below.

Name: Tweety's Northern Cruise
Attendees: OMC Members, Family and Friends.
Date: Sunday 20th April, 2008
Time: 9:30am departure
Meeting Points:
* Coomera BP Service Centre @ 7:45am
* Nudgee Shell Service Centre @ 8:30am
* Northern Caboolture BP (Bruce Highway) @9:00am
Destinations:
Come in through Woodford (Maybe Obstroperous could lead through here, as I am usually coming from the other direction)
Up Stanley River Road, hang a left along Reesville Road and come out at Maleny (Affagatto Coffee at Colin James- trust me - you haven't lived until you have had Colin James IceCream)
Down Bald Knob Road (Peachester Range), back into Landsborough through the back way (Gympie Street South).
Back up the range and along the spine to Montville (Lunch)
Down the Palmwoods Range and either along Nambour Connection Road and back up and over (through Mapleton and Flaxton) or head home from Palmwoods depending on time.

* Coffee at Colin James <Maleny> (if demand is high)
* PhotoShoot @ Lake Baroon
* Light Lunch @ Tranquil Park

Points:
1/ LEADERSHIP:- There will be ONE clear CRUISE LEADER (Tweety) and a helper. The cruise leader will ALWAYS lead and is very familiar with the route being taken, the helper will be placed at/or near the rear.
2/ GOOD BEHAVIOUR:- Odd burnouts and crazy driving, its not condoned in the slighest, however, as long as YOU YOURSELF are not the one commiting the offenses then MOVE ON. EVERYONE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS. If something is annoying or bothers you, at the next stop, talk to the leader of the cruise or the person involved in the offense.
3/ RESPECT OTHERS:- You can meet many great friends on a cruise, so do not be shy and make an effort to go up to other members and introduce yourself. On the road and at the meeting points, respect each other and it will go a very long way to making the day an enjoyable event.
4/ RESPECT THE PUBLIC:- Driving in small towns with ALOT of local public traffic....DONT BE A WANKER..TAKE YOUR TIME. Failure to respect other road users and members of the public will lead to REMOVAL from the cruise in a severe case scenerio. We are on public display and do not need to be labelled as HOONS.. the police are always around.
5/ LIMITS:- Slow cars should generally stick to the rear of the group, there is no need to drive fast or in a manner you aint confident with. The more energentic drivers will have more room up the front...please do not sit on other members ass as the UNEXPECTED should be expected. I understand some will want to be speed demons while other will want a sunday drive, there is nothing worse than members whinging how crap the day was because the person in front didnt think about their position. If you feel you want to cruise lightly on a section of the course...let the person behind overtake in a SAFE manner.
6/ ENJOY YOURSELF:- The whole point of the event is for FUN and ENJOYMENT. This cruise is meant to be fun, and really its only your choice to have fun or not, but bear in mind. Who has spent their free time organising this cruise and respect that.
MOST OF ALL ....TAKE CARE and be SAFE.
Fuel:- Ensure you rock up with a full tank of fuel in the car. <Cruise is approx 150km>
BP Ulimate stops: Landsborough, Mapleton and Nambour
Money:- Please bring money <if required> as we will be stopping at Coffee Shop and various small stores.
Camera:- There will be a few photo opportunities along the way with general scenary and cars.
UHF Radio:- If you have one please bring it along. <Channel 16>
Food:- Light snacks and drinks.
Clothes:- Please bring suitable clothing and shoes for the cruise.
Safety:- Already mentioned, however I will point this out again....driving at your own pace and not getting caught up in the EXCITEMENT OF THE MOMENT.
This leads to unwanted insurance claims and accidents. <Just ask some MPS3 guys after last weeks XR5 Cruise>
