I'm happy to lend a hand and bring along some much needed tools, especially for any coilover installs:
* 2x19mm wrenches for the long bolts
* rattle gun + sockets
* assorted-length punches for any stubborn long bolts
* BFH for those stubborn long bolts (or anyone contemplating 17" rims on an NA/NB)

- hoping Gina will be ready by then, otherwise it's the 3 for me.

Dodgy Day Round 4 - 29 November 2014

Postby Magpie » Wed Oct 08, 2014 5:47 pm

Title Changed to Dodgy Day Round 4 - 29 November 2014. Sorry Roger but this could conflict with your regular coffee date...

Hopefully Steampunk will jump in and organise the rest....

Plan will be to start anytime after 9AM, however will be open early for the jobs that could take a bit longer. BBQ chilli chicken wings will be served at lunch and decent coffee for those who need it will be available during the day.

Decent air compressor available as well as a pressure washer.

I can only get my car into one of the bays due to its height, however normal cars should be fine. I'm not planning on doing any work on mine. However I will set the scales up in that bay so that it will be easier, I just move the scales off to the side.

Car detailing maybe Crapweasel will come along and help out with this?

slyfox2151 welcome and for the entertainment of all if you have a NA6 please install some 17" wheels and attend the dodgy day. Lokiel gets very emotional when he sees an NA6/8 with these.

I'll bring a grinder along and we can get them down to respectable 16" or at least put the car out of its misery.

Happy to come along and show anyone how easy tuning your ECU would be if you want to see a MS3 and the tuning software.

If someone brings along a Megasquirt I'll install it in about 4 hours or so... depending on the MX5 model and mods etc...

MX5 91 NA6 LE completely stock and loving it!

Nice offer G. I have a large portable shade structure that I can set up for you to do this.

Somebody take up G's offer, interstate people welcome happy to accommodate if needed.

Sweet Georgia Brown its game on!
As per other dodgy days, if people can bring food and dri ks enough for 2 people then there will be plenty.
If anyone wants to put their hand/s up and just bring BBQ meats, snags, chicken wings etc then please PM me so we dont end up with 40kg of chicken wings.

Hmmm... I think we did a list last time right? I shall start:

- steampunk: 3kg chicken wings, hot sauce, tools, jack, car stands, witty banter 8)

So tempted to turn up in Kidney, wearing Maniac's shoes!!!
Unfortunately I can't put the daisys on Maniac as they won't clear the brakes.

I'll be in on this one, can provide a few detailing tips and a quick cut & polish for those who are keen. :)

steampunk: 3kg chicken wings, hot sauce, tools, jack, car stands, witty banter
corners: WeberQ
magpie: venue, water, shade, camera, witty banter
Crapweasel - a buffer, a bunch of polishing pads, microfibre cloths and an array of polishing products.
