I got the Menzerna polishes in the kit as well, so we're looking good.

On my list so far I have:

Kev05 - headlights (at a minimum!)
MINX - specific areas to be advised
Zero00 - Return customer?

TTT's List:

CaptainNate

(Please bear in mind TTT is generously giving the limited time he has available)

Who else is in for a detail?

Just under 4 weeks to go, would like to get numbers finalised - and don't forget the social side of things. The more who come along to watch, chat, and just hang out actually make the day a success by providing moral support.

Dyno time also available for those who are in - I'm in because I'm dying to compare this car to the last one, but would like to give GT Auto a heads up on numbers if I can please.

Should be a good day!

I'm still coming. So it looks like I'm added to TTT's list? I don't need the Dyno though.

I can probably only do 2 cars in the 3 hours I'm there.

Cheers, The Pirate

Mr The Pirate,

Of course other makes can join the fun! Car People are Car People, doesn't matter what you drive.

At this stage it looks like I'll have time for another three cars, as two are specific areas only, and not a full car as yet!

I'll be there from 8.30am for the setup, and hope for an early start.

I think the medication kicked in again Pete, 'Pirate' was talking about the Corollo GTi [with MR2 engine] It';s got too many stickers to polish and buff!! You would be in heaven!!

Oops! I've been away for a bit and not keeping track of things.
Am I still allowed on the list? :P

Edit: Ignore me. I stopped being lazy and read through the newer posts :P

I'm excited! I've only got a cheapy orbital buffer (one of the rockwell ones from supercheap), much point bringing it if there will be plenty of other, better ones?

Mate I've got your car covered and have all the equipment I need.
If you have an extension cord, bring that.

Shall do! I've got a dodgy placed sticker on my fuel cap, If that's gonna prove to be a pain for you I'll get rid of it or take off the fuel cap for you. :)

Did the 3 today with the rotary buffer, and to the untrained eye, it looks fantstic!

Took me 6 hours, and yet I wasn't happy with the results. I was after near perfection, but learned very quickly I need way more practice! The car has light water mark pitting on the roof, boot & bonnet, and a couple of scratches that can be removed, but I wasn't willing to set the speed to the level required to achieve this considering it was my first time.

Accordingly, I'll be bringing the old (random orbital) buffer with me to the detailing day, I'll still bring the Menzerna kit though to get a great finish. :)

Pete

Could you please cancel me from the August 24 'detail day'

Unfortunately I have been scheduled for more surgery the day before so will be out of action :(

Thanks and appreciate having been allowed to be part of it

All good hejira, GT Auto don't do detailing as far as I know, so you're in safe hands! Need a detail?

Roger, do you need someone to look after your 86 while your in? That way the nb could get into the garage.
