We have all been talking about recent political and media attention aimed at car modifications and road use. We as a car community have expressed that we do not want to be associated with "hoons" but instead celebrate the love for our cars and the people we meet through our passion.

This event is a collaborative effort by AusGarage (http://www.ausgarage.com.au) and Grunt Files (http://www.gruntfiles.com.au/) and is being run to promote the positive image of the car enthusiast. It will also be a great chance to meet the newly formed Australian Motoring Enthusiasts Party!

What better way to celebrate our passion then having a day where all types of vehicles from Hot Rods to Imports right through to Motorbikes, Euros and Domestic cars can get together and appreciate each others pride and joy.

The day will play feature to numerous automotive businesses showing off their work as well as displays by car clubs, music, entertainment and a great range of food and drink.

There will be room for 350 cars on the main venue and these spots will be allocated by clubs or individuals registering their spot. The cost is $10 a car with all proceeds going to Grunt Files Roadshow campaign for the car enthusiast. There is limited free parking for all other visitors attending the show.

We will be inviting local political members to the event and attracting mainstream and automotive media so it goes without saying that there will be no one driving their cars in a way that draws negative attention to this cause.

I'll drop in if I can find parking.

Thanks for the information, Tim.

Hi Tim, spotted your lone MX5 but could not locate you. I did managed to catch up with a few pals from old the Subaru 4wd club.
