Dodgy Day Round 5. 10th October, Purga.

Postby Steampunk » Sun Aug 23, 2015 9:59 pm

Hear ye! Hear ye!

Lord Magpie and Baron Steampunk doth announceth a day full or mirth, wonderment, and turningeth of mechanical implements for the improvement and/or fixing of horseless carriages....

...Okay enough of that

Saturday October 10th, we shall be having another Dodgy Day at Magpie's place over at Purga.

For the uninitiated, Dodgy Day involves getting together, chatting, turning spanners, fixing issues, installing/removing parts, cleaning, BBQ and so on.

Everyone welcome, the only thing we ask is for you to bring a bit of food/snacks, drinks, and a good attitude. 8)

It's a fantastic way to get to know fellow enthusiasts.

Please send me a PM for the address.

See ya there!

Happy to do a few corner weights and coil over setups, first in first served. Should be able to do at least 2 in the day.

My MX5 will more than likely be on the trailer ready for its trip to Sydney on 13/10.

Hope it's ok for a complete newbie to come along?

Almost 2 weeks into ownership of a silver '94 Eunos Roadster and starting to compile my "To Do" list.
Currently reading up on any suggested simple upgrades I can make.

Mostly looking at doing very minor stuff but I'd appreciate having a few knowledgeable blokes around when I get in trouble.
And would be great to have a nosey at what everyone else has done.

More than welcome MXO005.

About the only jobs that don't get done on a dodgy day are clutches :)

I'm not willing to test fate by suggesting a gearbox swap for mine! (With a bit of luck it will be done by then anyway)
I've got plenty of options for less intensive stuff to do on my car, or will help out on someone else's project. Looking forward to it.

I don't (currently) have any jobs in the pipeline, but I'll come out in the morning for a bit of a chat and to lend a hand if I can.

Perfect timing! Just in time for the new clutch to go in! Thanks boys! (I kid, I kid!!)

If I've got the day off (I'll try and organize it), I might get in line for corner weighting? I'll get out early. Always happy to turn a spanner or help do a wash or three.

CaptainNate you will be helping on the next clutch change! Remember my trailer will be in use this dodgy day and not able to remove cars that failed the dodgy day :)

I think I'll be back home by then. If so I will bring my WORLD FAMOUS (Truly) Tuscany Meat Balls.
Stay tuned, need to check with wifey exactly when we get back from holidays (starting back at work is not important enough to stick in my head).

I'm looking for the answer to clean the scum of headlights - I have Turtle Wax which seems harder than performing brain surgery and I hear 'RainX' is easy, so tht could be my job that day - that's for the NB

NA could come, exhaust needs a polish on the tip, or, if the driveway right to the carpark is not sealed the 86 stays at home!

I can call into the Ningi award winning butcher and grab some sausages and R**oles which are fantastic!

Thanks for the organisation Magpie & Steampunk

How about some vinyl wrapping? Anyone game to lend a hand to wrap rear bumper, garnish, boot lid/spoiler & bonnet?
