Steve Lee has left KYP Auto

Postby mx52nv » Wed Oct 30, 2013 10:18 pm

As a general service announcement, Steve Lee has left KYP Auto in Welshpool.

He will be up and running offering a mobile mechanical service and will also set up a home workshop for more serious engine builds in a few weeks. I will update as soon as this happens.

His class winning Isuzu Gemini turbo Sports Sedan is up for sale as well. PM me if interested.

Steve's knowledge and patience in building engines is legendary. We built many MX5s together back in the day and some pioneer work on Plug in ECUs for the SE/Mazdaspeed MX5 (Simon Corston's car) as well as the 229 rwkw 1.6 factory B6T on 'MX52NV'.

Anyone wanting his expert service will not be disappointed.

I wish Steve all the best in his future endeavours.

I have some work for him!
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Hey Les,

Noticed you posted Steve's number in this thread: http://mx5cartalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=61664&start=15
So he's open for business?

From the other thread: Steve Lee (mb: 0-4-1-9-5-2-0-9-8-8)

Think I'll get an expert to do my timing belt/water pump etc this time. I'm lazy haha.

Cheers,

Ken

Yep, he most certainly is open for business! I just spoke to him just then and he has had a few calls from Forum Members already so feel free to give him a buzz! 8)

I just got Steve to replace my brake pads, and also had him on a maiden adventure to spray paint my brake calipers.* Top notch job, really love the glossy finish.

He'll be installing my coilovers in two weeks when they arrive, and as I regretted not painting the caliper brackets, we'll be finishing up on that as well the next time he drops by my home.

*Truth is, he isn't exactly keen on spray painting so try to refrain from making such requests if you can!
