Hi guys. We got back home tonight. Thanks to everyone that turned up for the run. I had a great night. 8) Clubmanmc certainly knows his way around the hills. It was great to follow someone with a bit of local knowledge. There's no way I would have been having as much fun if I was trying to find my way around there by myself. You guys are lucky you have such great roads so close to home. And one of the best things is that you all seem to take advantage of it. We saw quite a few cars/bikes hooking in a bit while we were cruising around. Though all the cyclists are a bit of a worry sometimes.

A special mention to Adam. Pity your car didn't want to join in on the fun with the rest of us. You should have grabbed a lift with someone else and sorted your car out after dinner. Hopefully you'll get it sorted pretty soon. And also special mention to Randy for hobbling over to say G'day. I hope your legs get working again in time for the tour.

Cheers
Garry (black mx5)

PS Whats the go with that bus! It was quicker than a few of the guys on our MX5 club runs. I didn't know buses could go around corners that fast. Very impressive.

It wasn't going very fast when it was behind the truck, that corner is long and almost completely blind so I backed off jus in case there was anything in front, and I still had to jump hard on the brakes, then watched everyone bunch up in the mirror, the dark NA almost had a moment there!

The bus did start to move afterwards, but once the temp guage started going up and I knew how far I had to go to get to somewhere I could pull over I was wishing the bus would go a bit faster...

Sorted it out the next day, new thermostat has had it running fine again

Oh, what did people order? I know the hotdog is really good, did anyone try the hamburger?

no time to read maps on the go, they're only useful once one is actually lost

oh well, this time was a more comfy drive for me. certainly wasn't trying like i did on the VH run when BOYRCR Brett came along. that drive kinda scared me (was thrilling though), "yikes heading into a rock wall, turn! turn! turn! whewww.."

Oh that was me.

I rounded the corner only to suddenly find everyone had stopped !

I steered slightly under the sudden braking so that my car would end up in the opposite lane rather than rear ending Vu's car.

Luckily my car stopped before entering the opposite lane anyway. Gotta love light cars.
