The 2012 Victorian Motorkhana Calendar is starting to come together.

January 29th is the Practice Day as per above.

February 8th is the 2011 Presentation night for both Group5 and VMC – Sophia’s Restaurant, Camberwell
(Good social night and to acknowledged the various Class and Overall winners)

February 12th VMC 1 – at Pakenham
April 15th VMC 2 – at Deniliquin with a Autocross on the Saturday (another great weekend)
May 13th VMC 3 – at Pakenham
The above events are on dirt and subject to weather conditions.

The next 5 events leading up to the Australian Motorkhana Championship are 4 X bitumen and 1 on concrete at DECA
There is also a sprinkling of Group5 events throughout the year!

This year the Australian Motorkhana Championship will be held on October 13th/14th in Queensland.
I'm hoping to put together a Victorian MX5 Team to challenge our northern cousins!
It's going to be a hell of a road trip so you Queenslander's better be ready!

It would be great if some of our NSW cousins can also make an appearance and make it a true Interstate Challenge.

Couple of updates.
The 2012 Calendar has been produced. HERE
Please heed the warning about events changing.
I will attempt to update this thread with the latest info as I find it.

I'm looking at doing a couple more Group 5 events this year for practice.
Group 5 events are open to all clubs however only Group 5 Club members are eligible for series points.
Group 5 events are a little more relaxed than VMC events and also allow passengers on the day.
They are ideal for juniors whit limited experience,

The practice day at Werribee is starting to look a bit shaky.
The ground requires some preparation by the relevant Council which, to date, has not been done.
Please check back here for updates closer to the event or before heading down on Sunday.

Next couple of events are:
February 12th VMC 1 – at Pakenham
March 4th Gp5 - at Avalon
March 17th Gp5 Khanacross - at Pakenham. Khanacross is a larger, faster version of a Motorkhana and requires helmet, extinguisher and a speed licence.
April 15th VMC 2 – at Deniliquin with a Autocross on the Saturday (another great weekend)
May 13th VMC 3 – at Pakenham
The above events are on dirt or grass and subject to weather conditions.

It's official - the Practice Motorkhana has been officially postponed due to the ground not being ready!
We will look at reschedulling either later in February (maybe 26th ???) or possibly March and it may even be at Avalon if Werribee is still not available.
If you know of anyone planning on heading down for Sunday, please pass on the information.

This whole "Global Warming" is starting to annoy me!
Would have been a lot better if they had got their act together and we had started on time and not messed up the rotation and grouping!

How many runs did you end up getting in ?
With two laps to go then the action will begin, unless this is the action, which it is.
