I'd kindly like to claim Colin's Type 3 NA8 record at WP. I managed a 1:06.71 on A050s at Rd 1 of the CAMS Supersprints today, will post video shortly :)

Car has tonnes of grip but either your o2 sensor is out or its way rich, especially if its on alcohol.

PULP 98... This engine is only running 11.5:1 compression. We didn't see enough extra punch out of e85 on the dyno to justify running it with such low compression.

New engine (currently under development) will have more comp - E85 should be a better choice.

12.2-12.4 WOT AFRs aren't too rich IMO... Some run leaner but not much, at least not without running dangerously high EGT. Plugs look great too.

Took my non registered ex Gough/Iezzi now Trackschool NC MX5 hire car for the first time to Wakefield today. The car was on treads and did a 1.09.18. Does that qualify for anything :D

Hi Phil

I set a 1:09:0818 (refer natsoft http://racing.natsoft.com.au/640317789/ ... M/Times?12 ) in a non road registered, naturally aspirated NB8A on Rspec tyres at the Mx5 Cup yesterday.

Cheers
David

Verne & David,
Natsoft result links aren't persistent.
Best advise the event name, date, track and heat/race number, then Phil can look himself if required.

I never really bothered chasing this but I did improve on my standard NC time last year in September:

NC_____1:12.8360___Luke Kovacic______ 14 Sep 2015

And the good thing is the club started using Dorians so the time is much more true than the previous one.

It is up on the club website record section and in Natsoft.
Now I just gotta see if I can do it again this September 364 days later...
I have not dríven the car since February at Natmeet.

Had a good day yesterday... After much trying and many 1:05.9s, I finally managed to break Ed Chivers' old record (and my own Type 3 NA8 record) with a 1:05.840. That time was on treads too

See Natsoft, Mini Car Club Supersprint @WP, 11 September 2016.
