Post you motorsport videos here! WA Motorsport

There's a similar thread in the Queensland section, figured it would be a good idea to make one for WA too.

To start things off, here's one from the Motorplex
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

I thought SimonG, Ross or Seanan might post a few vids here.

Here's one from last round - RAC Sprint in damp conditions.

This might be a favourite - first attempt at driving the car that shall remain nameless. This may be the moment I caught the horsepower bug:

and finally the Kwinana Motorplex Sprint - so many curbs, fences and bits of concrete. My Te37's copped a whack at about the 2:00 mark. I'm sure others have video evidence of damage at this venue!

Thanks, was getting lonely in here. Great to see the Speedome footage, been so long since we've competed there.

Ok well seeing as we're putting up some older videos, here are some from 2011. It's been a long hiatus but I will be back on the track later this year in the SE.

Autotest at the RAC Driving Centre - stock NA6
Open diff + street tyres + stock suspension = lots of inside wheel spinning

Sprint at the RAC Driving Centre - stock NA6 (R-comp tyres)
Much less inside wheelspin with the R-comps on a faster track

Sprint at the RAC Driving Centre - stock NA6 (AFCO coilovers and R-comp tyres)
Even less inside wheelspin but the car was quite loose with the new suspension setup. Luckily with and underpowered car you can just keep the boot in and slide through it

2004 SE - stock ECU, stock engine, BEGi intake, FMIC, BC Racing 10/6, 15x8s, 225/45 NT-01s
Barbagallo long: 70.488
Barbagallo short: 58.999

I need to get my act together and do some video overlays of my log data.

Here are a few videos from the CAMS Speed Event Series. Most are courses that aren't run in the WA MX5 Club motorsports rounds so they are bit unique. All are very fast and tight so they suit a high powered MX5 so are great fun. Unfortunately I don't have any video from my favorite course which is the Busselton Foreshore Sprint which is part of the Forrest rally.

The car was setup the same for most of these videos. 1989 Eunos Roadster B-Spec Import, Built N/A 1.8BP, Honda S2 Intake Manifold, 6-speed, 4.78 diff, Yokohama A050 Softs.

Collie Multiplex - March 2016

Barbagallo Raceway - Feb 2016

Jack's Hillclimb - Nov 2015 (Australian Hillclimb Championship)

SRT Sprint Albany - May 2015

Windfarm Hillclimb Albany - May 2015
NA8: N/A 200whp | Haltech | Skunk2 Intake | S90 TB | RCP | 5 speed c/r dogbox | 4.78 diff | AST Shocks
Barbs L: 64.12 | S: 58.62 | Collie: 49.72

Yeah... it feels crazier in real life than it looks in the vids. I need a better mic on the GoPro to capture all the noise.

Collie looks like great fun.

Kwinana on the other hand, with all those curbs and concrete walls...
