Not a problem really. BMWs are just cars with drivers with diverse times. Some will be slower than some of the MX-5s and some will be quicker. 65 seconds around Lakeside is 65 seconds - be that in an MX-5 or BMW or a Kia or a.....

65 seconds may be 65 seconds, but if you've got one car doing 220kmh on the straight and 60kmh through karussel, and one car doing 170kmh on the straight and 110kmh through karussel, it doesn't always work so well :p I'm sure everybody will be self-aware enough to know when to concede..

Agreed, speed difference at the kink could be interesting to deal with, hopefully everybody is reasonably sensible about this.

Have done sprints with the BMW club before and there were no issues.

We have had that problem from time to time - people with huge power charging down the main straight and then blocking the turns due poor handling and/or ability. Hopefully, we get people who can think at these events.

People are briefed not to do this and let the car they are holding up in turns through on the straight and then re-seed for the next run. Then egos and other sh!t get in the way until someone pulls the offender into line and re-groups him/her.

I'm a member of both clubs and have run my MX-5 (the only one) along with other types at BMW Club track days without any issue whatsoever. I see no reason for things to be any different this time.
