Orange NC is painted or a wrap (silver firewall and underbonnet).

All bar the White NA have sold.

I noticed that the white NA has, and I quote: "dríven over short distances in order to maintain its condition" and the major servicing has been done on Km rather than date.

I would think short distance driving is more harmful in the long term?

IIRC, it was also $20k on Gumtree.

Hey J, had a look to see the context of what the seller said:
'Garaged and under a weatherproof cover plus on a trickle charger, started regularly and dríven over short distances in order to maintain its condition'.
While your observation still applies, think the seller was trying to demonstrate that the vehicle hasn't been left for long periods unstarted, as opposed to only ever being dríven short distances to maintain condition. And what's the seller's defintion of a short distance. Also, going back some years it used to be said that a car should be warmed up before driving, ie started & left to idle for a minute or so, but it seems this is no longer recommended. Then again, that NA6 will be 30 next year!

I think that dates from the era of stupidly rich carburation for cold start/running, which washed the oil from the cylinder walls causing accelerated wear. Exacerbated if you forgot to push the choke control back to normal running   .

I never met a horsepower I didn't like (thanks bwob)

What's a carburettor ? ... Tried explaining this to a young bloke I helped fix his car on a caravan park a while ago after I quipped about "the old days" having to adjust idle and mixtures ... He didn't even know car's have fuses ...

In the future ... What's an engine ? ...
