Anyone got Mazda workshop manual for SE?

Postby davekmoore » Thu Jul 09, 2015 4:43 pm

I'm particularly looking for the sections on standard times and processes for removing, overhauling and replacing a motor.

Even more specifically looking for the correct Mazda authorised method of adjusting valve clearances.
UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)

It's unlikely Mazda released a whole new manual for the SE (Mazdaspeed Miata in the USA, and Roadster Turbo in Japan)
It's most likely that a simple appendix was released for the SE that was tacked onto the end (or inserted into the middle ) of the existing NB manuals.

I would be searching the web for downloadable NB8B manuals from after whatever year the SE was released, you might get lucky and find one has the appendix.

There is a thread on the forum somewhere with links to manuals, you might need to hunt for it since it's pretty old now.

If you're in a bind, i'd download one of the NB8A manuals and use it for the method, since the SE shared the same engine as the 8A (just with a turbo, and different cam specs)
While the standard NB8A clearances may be different, the method to check them should be the same.

Thanks. I'd certainly settle for an OEM NB8A workshop manual if I could find one.

And if you use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer you can save the whole MSM (SE) factory manual, or which ever parts you need.
