If you're using an aftermarket ecu shouldn't it be as simple as just wiring whatever tps you have into the ecu and then doing the calibration on the ecu?

Or by automatic throttle body do you want a drive by wire throttle body?

Aaaah a throttle body off a MX5 NA6 that was an auto...

You will need a suitable TPS.

Have you decided how it will be tuned?

He's talking about wiring the variable tps from an auto mx5 into his non variable tps on his manual na6.
Isn't it just 3 wires?

If the plug fits, it might just be a matter of calibrating it in the ECU.

I used a VL Commodore one modified with instructions found in the Megasquirt Owner's Thread, it was easier than trying to find an auto TB + TPS.

Peter, do you have the plug and play haltech yet?
Like others have suggested, maybe you just need to calibrate it.
That's all I did with my MS2.

Here you go!

Option "B" would be to find a VL Commodore TPS and modify that - it uses the same plug so you're not hacking up the loom on the car.

Good work Cus.
From that thread it appears the op has a Na8 tps and not a na6 one. So the red wire is not used.
Since the plug has to be changed it may well be worthwhile pricing a vl commode one that just plugs in.

As far as pricing a VL TPS, do the legwork to visit local wreckers, the ebay options are priced about $80- $120 more than they need to be!
