Those vents were designed to fit in gaps in the bonnet bracing? It dictates their shape and location.
I'd love a shot of the underside too.

If they're the Singular Motorsports vents, they're supposedly located in high pressure areas between the bracing, and don't need any additional rigidity added.

I think they are Singular Motorsports vents and I want to see the underside cuts because some people have significantly removed bracing - I don't see how you can avoid it and I'm yet to see to see it done with minimal cutting (ie. most remove more than looks necessary).

Fit it on top, maybe no/minimal trimming of bracing.
Fitted underneath, the edges need to be flush, so lots of brace trimming.

Not a booster seat. It's an exercise mat on which Alfie the Golden Retriever sits (with the passenger seat removed).

The vents are bonded with the same stuff used to bond body and chassis parts on rather expensive cars. There is no loss of bonnet rigidity.

There will be no extra bonnet pins on this bonnet as it's for both the road and track and pins attract unwanted attention. There is a pinned massively vented Frankenbonnet for if this one doesn't do enough to aid airflow and/or decrease uplift/increase front downforce. I think this one might be better than the Franken one though.

Might post pics later.

Thanks for the pics. When you open them, they come out orientated correctly.
They cut out a lot of bracing. Definitely no extra flex, especially when you lift the bonnet?

Cool. I've gotta cut bracing eventually.

Will be interested to hear what you think of the Singular vents, I'm probably going to be buying a set in a couple of months.

Dave, your vents look great.
Also like your other bonnet with the flush pins. Did you cut the vents in that yourself?

Looks good Dave, I don't know what the yanks are thinking using rivets  It's what turned me off the singular ones and just made my own.

question, what max speed (gps) did you see at PI?

I'd suspect franken bonnet is more effective, the holes are in more ideal locations. But definitely the new vents look much smarter.

They do look a little too far back. Why did you bother when you already had a vented bonnet?
