Street Series Cat-Back Exhaust System
2004-05 Mazdaspeed Miata/MX-5 Turbo 1.8L L4
2.5" Stainless Steel Tubing
4" Polished Stainless Steel Tip
Single Passenger Rear Exit
5 x 8 x 18" Muffler
Because this says " Passenger Rear Exit", I gather this is not applicable to my car even though the pic looks right.

Or does this mean it's a single exhaust that runs down the passengers side but tip will still protrude out the drivers rear?

It looks like a bolt on exhaust for SE/MSM, yeah.

If it's talking "Mazdapseed Miata", then it's the US version, which means LHD. Their passenger side is our driver's side, which is the normal exit.

I don't think there is anything that would be different under the cars between the two versions that would prevent a US spec exhaust from fitting an Australian car.

Sounds uncomfortable ....

What's with the 4" tip ?? Seems a bit desperate.

4"s hanging out the drivers rear does seem a bit inappropriate, like to see facial expressions.

So I spoke to Genie Exhaust centre here in Perth and I was told I'd require an exhaust that's made for turbo cars, anything other wouldn't work properly.

14329. Label says 4x9inches, which is probably the height by width. 3in inlet and outlet.

Yeah right.

Depends on what they mean, if they just mean piping sized for the flow, and a muffler that doesn't choke it, OK. Anything more, and I would say they are fishing for suckers.

Agreed.

I mean, really, all an exhaust is there for is to direct the noxious fumes away from your face, and to make it quiet enough to be bearable.

Im pretty sure they mean large enough and straight through. Little to no point in baffled mufflers on a turbo car. And thats how 99% of exhausts are made. Any old exhaust shop is not going to stock straight through mufflers or 2.5"+ mandrel bends.

Green Machine, thanks for looking but that part # is for muffler only. I want to buy complete Cat back exhaust.
