there is usually about 25% drive-line loss.with Mx5 from that era

power will vary between cars. depending on a lot of things.

but it would be somewhere around the 110-120 rwkw for a stocky

Yeah, depending on which dyno run from my car is used, based against the Mazda quoted engine power, it's between 23% and 28%
The 28% is the more likely, since that was on a stock ECU

But, diff ratio (4.1 for me), wheel size, and tyre pressure will affect it too.
So use it as a really rough guide.

My research says 113kw, but some people say closer to WRX specs.

The only stock SP I’ve seen dynoed ran 130rwkw prior to installing the T piece mod on the same day, then it ran 150rwkw. Mine already had the mod installed and ran 147rwkw, so around 130 stock would be the ball park. This was on a Dyno Dynamics setup at Thornleigh - I think it was a Nissan club day we were invited to.

Hi All,

157 kw at the flywheel is approx. 129.75 rwkw on a dyno dynamics dyno.

So the above readings are correct.

Drivetrain loss is about 21%

I'll be taking my car to a dyno in the new year. I'll post the results up as stock and with the change to the boost reference (T-Piece).

Cheers

Over a few years the Vic Club used Caulfield Jags Dyno Dynamics for their Dyno Days. SP's were consistently around 113-7 RWK.
